A inspiração para a criação da J-CHAIR foi a forma arquitetônica do próprio museu e a composição do pintor polaco W?adys?aw Strzemi?ski Flat Construction (Breakage of a Black Rectangle) (1923). Ambas dão a impressão de que a composição da imagem, bem como o desenho do edifício, têm divisões e cortes visíveis.
